Spring Term 1 - A recent trip to Paris

In our third half-term of French we will be: 


  • Learning about Paris and its attractions
  • Learning  to narrate where we have been and what we have done




In terms of grammar we will be


  • developing our understanding of the perfect tense with être verb, irregular verbs and regular verbs

This week we will be learning about Paris and its many attractions. We will be revisiting the near future as well as learning the new phrase "On peut"

We have our first assessment this week so revise vocabulary from Week 1-2 only



In addition, this week we will learning how to say where we went and how we travelled there.


Basically the French don't say "I went", they say "I am gone". The sentence builder allows you to practise the perfect tense but is not included in the assessment.

Now we have seen the few irregular ones, we can move on to learn the patterns for the vast majority of other verbs. We continue to learn how to say what we did and didn't to or what we have done and what we have not done in Paris.
